As the governing body of Group Health, the Board of Trustees hires the chief executive officer and sets the strategy, policy, and direction for Group Health. Eleven trustees are elected by Group Health members. They serve three-year terms.

Over 40 years of experience in health care insurance and finance working for insurers, providers, and freestanding networks. Serves as clinical assistant professor, Department of Health Services, School of Public Health at the University of Washington.

Professional background: Semi-retired after 30 years practicing pediatrics and neonatology in Alaska and Washington. Served on the medical staff at Valley Medical Center, Seattle Children's Hospital, and Auburn Regional Medical Center. Currently providing volunteer interim pediatric care service.
