2011 Election Results
Board members Bob Margulis and Bob Watt were re-elected to the Board of Trustees. Ruta Fanning and Leo Greenawalt were elected to their first terms on the Board. Evelyn Lemoine was elected chair of the Standing Nominating Committee (SNC). The elected Board members and SNC chair will serve three-year terms, from Jan. 1, 2012 to Dec. 31, 2014.

Ruta Fanning (elected, Olympia) recently retired as legislative auditor and director of the Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee after 28 years of Washington state service. Previous positions included director of the Office of Financial Management, deputy director/interim executive director of the Higher Education Coordinating Board, and vice president for Finance & Administration, The Evergreen State College. Master's degree in public administration, University of Washington.
Leo Greenawalt (elected, Seattle) has served as president and CEO of the Washington State Hospital Association for 30 years and will retire this summer. Professional health care activities include serving on the American Hospital Association's Board, chairing the State Hospital Association Executives Forum, and serving as vice chair for the Committee for Affordable Health Care. Fellow, American College of Healthcare Executives. Master's degree in medical and hospital administration, University of Pittsburgh. Juris doctorate, University of Pittsburgh and Georgetown University.
Bob Margulis (re-elected, Seattle) is the founder and owner of the eco-friendly cabinetry company Ravenworks, LLC. Former CEO and founder of custom software developer The Cordada Group. Former president and COO of ImageIQ, a software company focused on diagnostic imaging. Former director, Information Services Division and 11-year employee with Group Health Cooperative. Bachelor's degree in English literature, City University of New York. Completing second term as a trustee.
Bob Watt (re-elected, Seattle) is retired, with service as vice president of government/community relations for The Boeing Company. Served as president and CEO of Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce. Resigned as senior consultant to Group Health's president and CEO to fill a vacant position on the Board of Trustees. Former Seattle deputy mayor. Co-founder and former board chair of The Children's Alliance. Bachelor's degree in sociology, Portland State University. Completing service in a vacated trustee position through Dec. 31, 2011.
Standing Nominating Committee Chair
Evelyn Lemoine (elected, Seattle) is vice president of People Programs at Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce. Founding chair of United Way's Early Learning Impact Council and current council member. Founding co-chair of SOAR, a community coalition that builds effective partnerships for children, youth, and families in King County. Active member in local and national chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. Group Health member involvement includes service on the Downtown Leadership Advisory Group and the Standing Nominating Committee; participation in the Advanced Leadership Seminar Series. Bachelor's degree in business administration, City University.
