Group Health Academic ScholarshipsThe Auxiliary of Group Health Cooperative awards academic scholarships annually to Group Health members and their dependents based on financial need, recommendations, and academic achievement. All scholarship application deadlines have passed for this year. New deadlines and application materials will be posted on this page in March 2010. 2009 Auxiliary ScholarshipThe following students will receive $1,500 scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year, to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
The Auxiliary received 41 applications for its 2009 scholarships. All awardees are either in undergraduate programs or clinically based graduate or PhD programs. The Auxiliary of Group Health is a self-governing body accountable to the Group Health Board of Trustees. The purpose of this organization is to promote and advance the welfare of Group Health Cooperative through fund raising and other ways approved by the Board in order to provide services to the hospitals, medical centers, specialty centers, and health related programs of Group Health and its members. The Auxiliary funds scholarships, state and national auxiliary organizations, member recognition, and the usual organizational expenses. |
