Pharmacy Residency Application Information
Thank you for your interest in our program. Group Health participates in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Resident Matching Program. Further information and registration for the match can be found on the ASHP Resident Matching Program Web site.
Key Dates
The pharmacy residency is a one-year appointment.

- Start date: July 1, 2010
Stipend and Benefits
- Estimated stipend: $52,000
- Full medical and dental coverage (optional cost varies depending on plan chosen by employee)
- Seven days of vacation per year
- Educational leave
- Travel allowance for select professional conferences
Requirements for Acceptance
- PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Eligibility for licensure in Washington state
Application Materials
The following must be completed and submitted by Jan. 8, 2010:
- Online application: Available December 2009.
- Copy of all pharmacy school transcripts.
- Concise statement indicating your career goals, major areas of interest, and reasons why you are a good candidate for this program.
- Copy of your CV.
- Completed recommendation form (PDF).
- Letters of recommendation from three preceptors.
The application process also includes a required interview.

Responsibilities include coordinating the formulary development and implementation process, the medication use improvement process, and the pharmacy practice model at Group Health. Also responsible for managing the pharmacy practice residency program, the pharmacy clinical specialists and clinical service programs.

Responsibilities include statewide oversight and coordination of all medication use management issues coordinated by pharmacy administration and planning and implementation of clinical pharmacy activities throughout the delivery system.
