Also see: Pharmacy Residency Application Information We train our residents in the role of the pharmacist in the development and implementation of medication use management initiatives, formulary development and management, as well as drug use policy development. In addition, we train residents to function as leaders in implementing pharmaceutical care plans for patients in a managed care setting. We provide training opportunities in a variety of practice settings and provide an opportunity to gain valuable clinical and administrative experience in a managed care setting. Clinical experiences include ambulatory rotations, such as family medicine, internal medicine, oncology, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, anticoagulation, nephrology, pain management, and home infusion. We designed our administrative training to provide experience in pharmacy administration policies and procedures.
