Parent Trust for Washington Children offers Great Starts birth and family education program for expectant parents and families in Seattle and Puget Sound region.
Classes include The Great Starts Birth and Parenting Preparation Series, a comprehensive class, highly recommended for first-time parents, which combines information from their Labor and Birth, Newborn Care, and Breastfeeding classes. Additional topics include safety and CPR, adoption, childbirth refresher, soothing techniques for babies, vaccinations, and sibling preparation.
Parent Trust also offers classes in fathering, stress-management, child and teen services, and many more programs to support you from early pregnancy through preparing your teen for life.
For the childbirth classes, we recommend that you sign up during your second trimester.
