A MESSAGE FROM CEO SCOTT ARMSTRONG
Health Care Shouldn't Be a Source of Stress
Like many of you, I have plenty of stress in my life, and I don't always do a good job managing it. So it's nice that one thing I don't have to worry about is my health care — and there are many good reasons for that peace of mind.

Group Health's award-winning physicians are some of the best in their fields, with training from Stanford, Harvard, and other top medical schools. They're skilled at dealing with routine problems as well as complex and serious illnesses, and are part of multidisciplinary teams that can include nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, and speech therapists, to name a few. Group Health's clinicians are there for us for a lifetime, across a continuum of health issues.
Well-established systems at Group Health medical centers make it possible for our clinicians to do their best work. For example, our electronic medical records allow all your care providers to access your complete medical records online and get up-to-date information about your care.
Many of you have written me over the years about the peace of mind you have knowing that you can call the Consulting Nurse Service any time, any day, for health care advice. Like you, I also appreciate how my doctors listen to my opinions and preferences, and how my input helps guide the care I receive.
One of you recently described what I also experience: "I like that my care is coordinated for me. I'm part of the team, and I participate in making decisions about my health. But I don't need to worry about tracking down specialists and managing bills. You handle it for me."
With so many of us juggling busy and complicated lives, it's nice to have one less thing to worry about, especially something as important as our health care.
