2012 Innovators in Health
Award Recipient: Christopher Elias

Dr. Christopher Elias, President of the Global Development Program for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is the 2012 Innovators in Health Award winner. The award, which honors visionary leaders for their pioneering efforts to improve health for all people here and around the world, was presented at the Gift of Health Gala on Oct. 13.

Early on, Dr. Elias' experiences as a physician drove him to a public health career — one now full of foundational and monumental improvements that help millions of people live healthier, productive lives. We are exceedingly proud to honor his commitment to this noble cause.
