Blood & Guts
Blood & Guts is a free health promotion exhibit sponsored by the Group Health Foundation to teach children about health and their bodies. More than 21 hands-on exhibits enable children of all ages to:
| |
Construct a skeleton |
| |
Remove and replace organs in a life-sized doll |
| |
Touch five pounds of fat and muscle |
| |
Learn about fat and sugar content in favorite foods |
| |
Handle models of teeth, eyes, brains, and much more |
By encouraging questions and fun interaction, the Blood & Guts exhibit sparks children's interest in how their bodies work. It also helps them recognize they have some control over their own health.
The Blood & Guts exhibit is free to community agencies in Washington state which serve at-risk children.
