Community Programs

Our public health programs benefit the entire community, touching the lives of more than 170,000 Northwest residents annually. In 2007, Group Health was named the Philanthropic Corporation of the Year in Washington state for Group Health's role as a community leader. Children's Access to Care

The Foundation has awarded $1 million in grants to connect uninsured kids with coverage.

School-Based Health Centers

The Puget Sound area's four centers give thousands of teens access to free health care visits each year.

Health Trek

An educational program to improve the health of young people by increasing their knowledge of nutrition, fitness, media literacy, and healthy choices. The primary component of the program is a curriculum which is aligned with Washington State's Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs), Grade Level Expectations (GLEs), and Classroom-Based Assessments (CBAs) in health and fitness. The Health Trek curriculum is available at no-charge for educators.
