Jason Wong, MD
Philosophy of care: I believe in preventive care for an individual as a whole, taking into consideration life context, family, and social aspects of a person's health.
Joined Group Health: 2004
Education: Bachelor of Arts in French Literature, University of California, San Diego, 1996; Doctor of Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y., 2000.
Advanced training: Residency, University of Washington, Seattle, 2000-03.
Certifications: Board Certification in Family Practice
Medical interests: My passion in medicine is for international relief work, having worked with Doctors Without Borders prior to joining Group Health. I also particularly enjoy working with adolescents and with issues of reproductive care.
Personal interests: Reading, cooking, eating, hiking, card playing, film-going, music, anything French. And I am an unabashed chocoholic.
Statement: I found my calling in life after reading the biography of Dr. Albert Schweitzer in the first grade. After many stops for my education and travels, I've decided to make Seattle my permanent home because of the unique way family medicine is practiced in this urban area as well as the beauty and culture of the locale. I maintain a clinical practice in Burien.
