Kat Barnes, MD, MPH
Kat attended Boston College and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduating, she worked at the LA Free Clinic for one year prior to matriculating at Harvard Medical School. Kat became an outspoken voice for family medicine and spearheaded a movement to advocate for family medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is a founding member of Primary Care Progress and the Student Leadership Committee of the Center for Primary Care. She concurrently received her MPH in health policy with a focus on creative models of primary care delivery. She has worked and studied in Tanzania and South Africa, speaks basic French and Spanish, and enjoys long-distance road racing, international travel, and hiking.
