Restrictions on Visitors at Birthing Center

Visitors to the Family Beginnings birthing center are being screened for flu-like symptoms and may not be allowed to visit if they have any symptoms of the H1N1 flu virus. Patients can have no more than two visitors at a time, with no visitors under age 12 allowed.

FDA Warning: Internet Sale of H1N1 Drug Products

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers to use extreme care when purchasing products over the Internet that claim to diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure the H1N1 influenza virus. Many products are not approved, illegal, or both. The FDA urges consumers to only purchase FDA-approved products from licensed pharmacies located in the United States.
