Flu Vaccine Status

Flu Vaccine Status

Group Health will begin offering flu vaccinations for the 2010-2011 flu season on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

This year, flu vaccinations will be available at all of our medical centers Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will not have special "flu shot clinics" on designated days as in past years.

This year's vaccine includes the H1N1 strain, so there is only one flu vaccine for both seasonal and H1N1 flu. Group Health expects to have an ample vaccine supply this year.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends immunization for everyone 6 months and older. Flu vaccination is especially important for children, pregnant women, adults over the age of 50, and those with chronic conditions.

Check this page in early September for more information about the 2010-2011 flu season. Group Health members will also be sent postcards with more information.
