Exercising With a BunionTopic OverviewIf bunions are causing pain, don't give up exercise. Instead, switch to activities that don't cause pain.
Wearing comfortable, roomy athletic shoes that give your toes plenty of room will help you stay active. For both men and women, men's shoes are a good choice because they have wider toe boxes. Consider making a small cut in an athletic shoe directly over the bunion to relieve pressure. Apply ice to the bunion and elevate your foot after exercise that causes pain. This will help reduce the inflammation. Related InformationCredits
