If you're a member of Group Health Cooperative, we'd like to offer you some exciting online features and services that will make getting health care even easier and more convenient. And if you do business with Group Health as a contracted provider who provides care to our members, an employer who offers our health plans, or a broker who sells our plans, we have online services to make working with us easier, too.

Our Group Health home page, at www.ghc.org, offers links to general information about the Cooperative, including our health plans, provider and facility directories, newsroom, and employment opportunities. This information is aimed at the public, prospective members, and the media.

In addition, our home page serves as a "portal" or gateway to specialized sites for each of our major groups of users:

MyGroupHealth for Members
This secure, password-protected site is available only to the nearly 600,000 members of Group Health Cooperative. It offers an online medical center at your fingertips, where you can access health information on more than 5,000 topics, join discussion groups, exchange messages with your health care providers, request appointments, refill prescriptions, view portions of your medical record, and choose or change doctors — all online.

Group Health members must register to use MyGroupHealth, a simple online process that requires only your name, member ID number, and birth date. You need only register once. After that, each time you come to the public "ghc.org" home page, just click on "For Members," log in, and you'll be taken directly to the members-only home page.

Basic online services Registering and logging in will give you immediate access to our basic online services, which include in-depth health information, discussion groups, and health tools.

Enhanced online services Our enhanced online services allow you to exchange messages with your personal physician, many specialists or consulting nurse, request appointments, refill prescriptions, and view lab results and other part of your medical record. To upgrade your account to use these enhanced services, you must first verify your identity, a simple online process that helps us protect the confidentiality of your medical information. You'll find instructions on how to do this once you register and log in. Once you're logged in, you'll find links to your online services in the center of the home page. Your home page will change depending on whether you're at the public level, basic level, or enhanced level.

MyGroupHealth for Providers
This site is for the huge network of contracted providers — primary care doctors, specialists, and hospitals — that provide medical care to Group Health members in many parts of our coverage area.

Providers can access a wealth of administrative and clinical information from Group Health, check the eligibility status of their patients or the status of claims. More services, including the ability to request referrals and check their status, will be coming soon.

Our Provider Relations department sets up online accounts for contracted providers who are eligible to use this site. Providers who are interested in having access to the site should contact their provider services representative.

MyGroupHealth for Employers and MyGroupHealth for Brokers
These sites offer detailed information about all of our Group Health Cooperative and Group Health Options, Inc. health plans; applications, and other important forms; the ability to request quotes for group coverage; and information about how to contact our sales teams.

Additional services to make it easier for employers and brokers to conduct business with Group Health will be added later.

There are several ways to find what you're looking for on this Web site.

Major categories of content are listed in the main menu on the left side of each page. Some of these categories have a small "delta" or triangle symbol in front of them. Click on that symbol and a list of sub-categories of content will drop down. Click on one of those sub-categories to be taken directly to the topic you're interested in.

In addition, at the top of every page, you'll find a "search" box. To use our search engine, type in one or more keywords that relate to the topic you're searching for, then click on the "Go" button.
