Dermatology at Group Health Medical Centers
Dr. Andrew Shors examines a patient.
No matter what is ailing your skin — your largest organ — Group Health dermatology can help it feel, look, and function well.
Our care includes skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and less common skin conditions such as lupus. Our team includes general dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, pediatric dermatologists and dermatopathologists. And we offer certain cosmetic procedures, such as laser.
Your treatment is coordinated with other providers through electronic health records and consultation. That gives you a team of experts to focus on the right care for your health.
Our dermatologists practice here for that very reason. One of them, Dr. Virginia Sybert, is not only an expert in pediatric dermatology, she is also an expert on skin disorders with a genetic link, having written the 4-pound volume on genetic skin disorders. "Practicing medicine is stimulating, satisfying, challenging and fun," she says. "It is my job to make sure my patients feel the same way." Perhaps that's why she's been named a Top Doctor for several years in a row.

Care Locations and Appointments
You may self-refer to a dermatologist, although it may be helpful to see your primary care provider to rule out common problems such as warts and noncancerous spots.
Our dermatologists see patients at the following Group Health medical centers:
"My job can make a big difference for people"
"I try to treat each patient as I would a family member, providing them with the most up-to-date clinical information and guiding them through the decision-making process. My job can make a big difference for people, and it's a privilege."
