Help During a Difficult Pregnancy

I was filled with excitement at the joy that our second baby would bring to our lives, considering that it had taken me and my husband almost six years to conceive after the birth of our first child.

Shortly after discovering I was pregnant, I developed hyperemesis (excessive vomiting). I was hospitalized several times throughout my pregnancy for severe dehydration and low potassium levels. I was bracing myself and my husband to the fact that our son may be born premature.

I received excellent care from the Ob/Gyn department at the Tacoma Specialty Center. Dr. David Hunter and Dr. James Greene in particular provided excellent care and advice during what I considered an extremely scary time. Dr. Greene delivered my son and provided honest and open information throughout the entire delivery.
