WHY GROUP HEALTH? MEMBERS SAY IT BEST
My 'Extended Medical Family'
Since 1955

Linda RaleighI have been a member since approximately 1955, from the time I was very young. I have so many stories. One that stands out is when I had surgery and was having heart issues about 24 hours later. The nurses on the floor called Dr. Steven Bock and about 30 minutes later he showed up, got me in a wheelchair, and wheeled me down to X-ray himself at 12:30 in the morning!

At the time it didn't register, but here he was at home — it's midnight — and because I was having problems he took the time to personally handle the problem. Later when I thanked him he said, "Well you scared me." This is just one example of the physicians I have had and continue to have at Group Health.

Because of so many excellent physicians, nurses, and support staff at Group Health, I feel so safe and secure with my medical team. Over all of these years it has been a privilege to have so many caring people on my medical team, and that continues to this day. Dr. Bock, Dr. Janeway, Dr. Posch — and going way back — Dr. Kaminsky, Dr. Tinker, and nurses like Doreen Holliday have all gotten me through some really rough times.

What Does Group Health Mean To Me?
What Group Health is and has always been to me is an extended medical family. When people ask me why I belong to Group Health I tell them I wouldn't belong to any other medical group and that I have had and continue to have excellent medical care.
