2016 Annual Membership Meeting

More than 400 Group Health members participated in the 69th Annual Membership Meeting at the Washington State Convention Center Saturday, Dec. 3.

The meeting celebrated Group Health's impact over the years with historical displays and a video highlighting the people of Group Health and their enduring commitment to challenging the status quo and advocating for affordable care.

President and CEO Scott Armstrong updated members about the organization’s current performance and noted this would be the last member meeting pending regulatory review of the proposed acquisition.

"We will finish strong, and we will be a terrific platform for beginning the next chapter in our story as part of a Kaiser Permanente system."

President Designate for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington Susan Mullaney also spoke at the meeting. "My past few months here at Group Health have reinforced for me what an incredible organization Group Health is. This is truly a legacy organization.

"I could not be more honored to be serving you and to welcome you into the Kaiser Permanente family. We're going to take this incredible legacy of Group Health, bring it together with Kaiser Permanente and the sky's the limit."

Board Elections Results

Susan Byington, Dodie Ruzicki, and Michael Wilson were re-elected with 3,136 ballots cast. Pending regulatory review of the proposed acquisition, Group Health continues to operate and is led by its member-elected Board of Trustees.
