Bereavement Support

Group Health's bereavement classes, support groups, counseling, and memorial events can help while you grieve the death of your loved one. All programs are open to Group Health members, their families, and the public.

There is no fee for bereavement programs. We also provide short term bereavement counseling support and educational mailings about coping with grief and loss.

Men's Breakfast Club

Join other men who have lost someone they loved for conversation, support, and encouragement over breakfast. Informal discussions about grief, loneliness, and relationships are facilitated by our bereavement support staff. These groups are offered on a drop-in basis and are open to members and the public. No fee, but participants pay for what they order.

Monthly Drop-In Grief Support Group

Meet with others who are grieving, and gain tools for coping.

Lynnwood

Labyrinth Walk

A monthly opportunity to walk an outdoor labyrinth while reflecting on one's life since loss. A bereavement coordinator will be present to provide information and suggestions on how to use this type of moving meditation.

Cultivating Hope

Join us in the garden, where the natural rhythms of loss and growth, death and life are always present. We will use the activities of caring for plants and working the soil as touch points for one's grief experience. Offered with support from Seattle Tilth. No gardening experience is necessary.

Steps toward Healing

Walking supports our physical and emotional well being, especially as we work our way from grief to peace. Join other walkers who are also carrying grief for support and fellowship. Offered with support from SoundSteps.
