Common Concerns of Parents With a Colicky Baby

Many caregivers of colicky babies worry that they are doing something wrong to cause their baby to cry excessively. Doctors now know that colic is an extreme form of normal crying behavior and caregivers are not to blame. A baby with colic has difficulty stopping a crying episode after it has begun, despite your attempts to soothe and console him or her.

But babies may cry more when they sense family tension or caregiver stress and anxiety . Talk to your doctor if you feel anxious about things in your life.
