A glucagon emergency kit has a syringe that contains liquid (diluent), and a bottle that contains the medicine glucagon.

Remove the bottle seal: Step 1

Remove the seal from the top of the bottle. Don't touch the rubber part that is at the center of the bottle top.

Remove the needle cover: Step 2

Take the cover off the needle of the syringe.

Insert the needle: Step 3

Insert the needle of the syringe into the bottle that contains the medicine.

Push the plunger of the syringe to force the diluent from the syringe into the bottle.

Remove the needle: Step 5

Remove the syringe needle from the bottle. Then put the cover back on the needle.

Mix the contents: Step 6

Turn the bottle back and forth to mix the contents.

Reinsert the needle and draw out the medicine: Step 7

Insert the needle of the syringe into the bottle again, then turn the bottle upside down and pull back on the plunger to draw the dose of glucagon into the syringe.
